StorePreflight is a free, open source macOS app published by Jan Konieczny, contact: hello@storepreflight.app. The software itself is licensed under Apache License 2.0, and that license governs your rights to use, modify and redistribute the code. These terms cover this website and the way the app is meant to be used.

What the app does

StorePreflight reads a local Xcode project folder, selected artifacts such as property lists and privacy manifests, and - if you connect it - your App Store Connect metadata. It reports what it checked, the evidence it found and what remains unknown.

What a result is not

• It is a partial assessment, not a prediction of Apple's decision and not a review by Apple.
• A passed status confirms one described condition in one artifact, for example a non-empty field or valid URL syntax. It does not confirm the quality of the content or compliance overall.
• Missing evidence is reported as unknown. It never means that a requirement is met.
• Twelve checks are a narrow selection, not full coverage of the App Review Guidelines. Apple's document, including its exceptions, remains the source that matters.
• It is not legal advice.

What you submit to Apple, and every decision you make on the basis of a report, stays your responsibility.

Your account and your key

Reading store metadata requires your own Apple Developer account and your own App Store Connect API key. You are responsible for keeping that key safe and for following your agreements with Apple. The app performs read-only requests; it does not submit, change or publish anything in App Store Connect.

StorePreflight is an independent project. Apple, App Store, App Store Connect, Xcode and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc., used here only to describe compatibility.

How you may use it

Use it for your own lawful purposes, and analyse projects you are entitled to analyse. Do not present its output as an Apple decision or as a certificate of compliance, and do not use the name or the site to suggest an endorsement that does not exist.

No warranty

The app and this site are provided as is, without warranties of any kind, as stated in the Apache-2.0 license. Detection is heuristic and incomplete, the App Store Connect part depends on Apple's API, and Apple can change its requirements and interfaces at any time.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for indirect damage, lost profits, a rejected submission or any consequence of a decision based on a report. This does not limit rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

Changes

These terms can change, for example when the app gains a new feature. A new version appears here with a new date at the top.

Law and disputes

Polish law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence and may use out-of-court dispute resolution - in Poland the Trade Inspection and the municipal consumer ombudsman.
